West Park Unveils New Visual Identity
West Park Unveils New Visual Identity
West Park Healthcare Centre has been known for its iconic, stylized “WP” logo for more than 20 years. It has become instantly recognizable to our staff members, patients, families, and the communities we serve.
As with many hospitals and organizations, a new building presents a unique opportunity to refresh our look to better reflect our brand promise of helping patients get their lives back.
“The new visual identity marks the beginning of West Park’s transformation into a new era of healthcare delivery,” says Anne-Marie Malek, President and CEO. “It is a clear signal of change that complements the bold, vibrant and modern architecture of the new hospital.”
To mark the occasion, on October 25 West Park unveiled its new logo above the main entrance of its new contemporary facility. The event was attended by patients, family members, staff, physicians, volunteers, and board members.
The new visual brand brings a contemporary fresh look-and-feel to the organization. It includes a new logo, colour palette and design elements, which will be reflected in new materials and signage.
“I will cherish everything this organization has accomplished under the banner of the current logo, which has served us well for over 20 years,” says Malek. “The new logo does not simply replace the old one, rather it builds on the success that has happened in the Centre’s history over the past two decades.”
About the new visual identity
The new visual brand is deeply rooted in its connection to nature and dedication to helping individuals realize their potential. It’s also a tribute to the energy, innovation, and passion West Park staff bring to patient care every day. Thoughtful consideration was given to the new, distinctive and eye-catching visual brand for the Centre:
- The logo colours include two vibrant shades of green and a deep blue to honour our geography near the beautiful trails of the Humber River
- There is a tree at the forefront of the logo, which emphasizes West Park’s understanding of the important role nature can play in patient healing
- The point of the tree also doubles as an arrow, representing the upward journey our patients make in their recovery
- The tree is supported by a W, which represents West Park.
