Countdown to the New West Park – one month to go!

In just one month – April 14 – we will welcome patients into our state-of-the-art new hospital building.
This stunning facility is at the centre of a campus-wide transformation that, when complete, will transform the delivery of our services and bring the very best of rehabilitative care to Ontario.
It is a major milestone in our 120-year history, one that we have been working towards since 2009, through planning and consultations, approvals, procurement and, finally, construction.

With our new hospital building we will be able to meet the demand for our rehabilitative and complex care services, a demand that is rising as our population ages and their healthcare needs increase. Today 17% of our population is over 65 and they utilize 58% of hospital stays. We will need to change and grow our programs to meet the needs of our patients and help them to remain living in their own homes for longer.
Over the next month, our physicians and staff will continue to get the building ready for our patients. Stay tuned for more news about our opening as we get closer to the big move.
