West Park President & CEO Anne-Marie Malek to retire

Please join me in congratulating Anne-Marie Malek, West Park Healthcare Centre President and CEO, on her retirement at the end of March.
Anne-Marie first joined West Park in 1995 as Vice President of Programs and Chief Nursing Executive, a position she held until 2005 when she was appointed CEO.
Rarely has a chief executive had such a profound impact on an organization, as Anne-Marie has had on West Park. Throughout her tenure, she has made transformative changes in clinical service delivery and program development, and deepened our areas of specialization, all for the benefit of our patients. Under her leadership, West Park was named the Provincial Centre of Excellence for Long Term Ventilation and Provincial Resource for Tuberculosis.
She has provided leadership through two pandemics, SARS and COVID-19, mobilizing West Park’s resources for the benefit of patients and the health system.
But it is our stunning, state-of-the-art new hospital opening in April – the centre of a campus-wide transformation – that will stand as testament to her vision, leadership and commitment to improving health care in Ontario.
On behalf of the Foundation team and our Board of Directors, I would like to thank Anne-Marie for her leadership of West Park and commitment to the patients we serve, and wish her all the best as she embarks on this next chapter.
