West Park’s new hospital will open its doors to patients in late 2023. Our new facility is at the heart of a stunning campus transformation that will enable us to continue providing the highest quality of rehabilitative and complex continuing care, and meet the rising demand for our services.
With the external structure of our new hospital largely complete, the interior spaces are now taking shape. New Hospital Flythrough
Get a taste of how the new West Park will look and feel, and how the new and improved hospital will help patients.
The Terraces
Each inpatient floor of the new hospital will feature one of these terraces overlooking the beautiful West Park campus.
Main Lobby and Feature Stair
This central hub of the new building will have comfortable seating areas, a reception desk, and the distinctive feature staircase – a hospital landmark – that will be overlooked by skylights, filling the room with abundant natural light.
Therapy Pool
Six times the size of the current pool, the pool in the new West Park will have three different depths, a ramp and two accessible lifts, and special sensory stimulation equipment and lights.
The Weishuhn Auditorium
As the largest event space in the new build, the Weishuhn Auditorium will host and support a wide range of events and functions such as conferences, telemedicine sessions, town halls, multi-faith services, movie nights and gala dinners.
Patio and Cafeteria
The bright and inviting Robert and Patricia Martin & Family Café will open onto the beautiful outdoor patio, giving patients, families, and staff a chance to enjoy the stunning greenery of the new campus. At double the occupancy of the current cafeteria, it is sure to become a central gathering place for the new hospital.
